Pentel 11 with “0.5 m/m” marking

I have two black Pentel 11, and one has the “0.5 m/m” marking.

As far as I know the one with the longer sleeve is newer but can anything be concluded from the marking? Was it common from a certain point in time?

I love when there’s print right there on a pencil. Something about the aesthetics is very appealing to me.

I have P207 and P209 with this marking only…I have also both Pentel 11 - older (capital letter PENTEL on the clip and pouch etc.) and newer (Pentel on the clip and pouch…)
But I do not know anything about it…
