Long time no post:) rotring Tikky
Hey @Raybonche
Do those have gold accents like in the photos below? I picked this up on a whim and was wondering if this could be how it was originally packaged.
Is there a date on the packaging?
Clip text says “W Germany”
omg you are alive
hope you are doing ok
Yes, I cam still alive…
Just take some time to settle down here in the UK.
Mine are just with chrome accents. I’ve several Tikkies and it’s the first time I find them in a blister packaging with eraser and spare leads. Usually they come in bulk. There is no date on the packaging. It also marked with W. Germany as yours.
I expected to see more 0.4
That is a fireeeeee looking selection
An arrow straight between my ribs…
…. I have yet to acquire my ULTIMATE grails:
•Tombow Monotech sh-1000 0.4mm
•Tombow Variable (BOTH 0.4/0.3mm)…. Owning the 0.5mm is akin to getting spit on/in the face every time I look at it…(that’s spit lol).
•Pentel Injecto-black 0.4mm. (Unfortunately its pricing is farther than the moon at the moment…).
—-humorously, after realizing, I completely agree with you…. 0.4mm versions of M.P.s are my ideal length to use, but unfortunately, NONE of my posted pencils have a 0.4mm version (that I haven’t listed above)
So I’m happy to agree with you. And thank you, my hypocrisy is real…
Do you know if there is an automatic 0.4?
I dont think so.
3L Griffit set square, capped pencil extender Mimic Drops with Viking Skoleblyanten 029, Pilot S3/0.3, Zebra Tect 2way 0.5 (both with Pilot Neox Graphite 2B), candy Storck Campino Früchte.
Delicious!
I like that glow in the photo!
I tried to gather some info about this 3L Griffit company and lineup, but the website seems unavailable, and any query I had Google crunch for me resulted in void answers.
What is the story there? Are the central parts of the set square slightly raised above the surface, to enhance the grip? It seems a neat design.
The company 3L stilll exists but they don’t make these items any more. Yes, the raised parts that make it easier to grip were the special feature.
In addition to the set square there was also a protractor and a ruler in two lengths (the ruler had a rubber strip on the bottom to prevent slipping and no raised part). These drawing instruments, available in five colors, were introduced about 20 years ago and won the Red Dot Design Award in 2004. 3L later sold the patents and the name to Linex, which continued to market these products, but these new editions no longer exist either.
