I found a bunch of the KIN 1098 and i swore they were eraser holders. But non of the NOS eraser i had were big enough.. thanks Allen. I was scratching my head at what i was missing.
Now you’re talking. I love these things- great selection you’ve collected. I heard these called ‘pencil misers’ once and it gave them a whole new dimension. One of my favourite tools
A Korean student gifted me a few recently, from a stationers in their home town- in Korea the students tend to sharpen their drawing pencils with a blade and they like their points super long
Turns out it translates to their pencil extenders too!? Love the simple low profile twist-on detailing on these so much
Very interesting
My favorites are the twist on type. The compression fitting is definitely nice but there’s something about the simplicity of screw type that intrigues me.
Everybody wanted to join the “life extension” party…
The maroon one 4th from bottom is BAGNOL & FARJON…it rolled…
and my fave (of course):
Look at that TURQUOISE!!!
One of my absolute favourites in this sub-category is of course the minimal, red, all-metal Caran d’Ache 453; no vintage vibes, no cool metallic imprints, no wooden parts, yet still the striking ability to capture the zeitgeist of any pencil extender throughout the full history of the concept. Swiss minimalism at its best.
I got mine many years ago, at a Tyndall’s shop in Cambridge UK, and it was instant love; it does not sport the new CdA logo, but just a plain silk-screened and fully-spelled “Caran d’Ache”, plus the product code, which I think I prefer over the “flashy” new version.
Delighted to se a Dixon Eldorado Lengthener in the bunch!
Love all these. Whats that lovely all-metal fluted twisty? So nice
whoa…very nice!
