PD1055 Technica Questions

Questions about this image:
1- What is the source of this image? Was this a Pentel internal meeting?
2 - On the first image, the bottom row shows the PD1055 Technica (S48/1973), PD1065 Technica II (S49/1974) and the PD345 (S52/1977). What is the significance (if any) of the PD345 on the same line? (i.e. aside from being a “side knock” style pencil)

Thanks.

I’ve been flipping through Nimrod’s book and haven’t found a side-knock pencil that Pentel produced before 1973, so would that mean the PD1055 is their first side-knock?

Does this confirm that the Mitsubishi Pecker is the first side-knock pencil from 1971? I have seen the year mentioned but not actual documentation.

Reading between the lines here, am I to assume the QC video is next? Guess I have to pull the good camera out for that QC family photo.

The QC is in the plans, but not right away

But yes, I really would love to include pictures of your awesome collection

I can’t figure it out completely but I think I understand that PD1055 is from 1973 according to this post.

Question I’ve had for a long time: How does the Technoclic fit in here? Or does it? I’d assumed the timeline went like this: Technica → Technica II → Technoclic → QC. Is that true?

I don’t think it really relates to the Technica or Quicker Clickers.

It is not a Clicker, but a Slider, and relates to the rest of the Techno pencils (PN55, PN3015 and the PN305).

No worries. Love what you’re doing with these vids and I’m especially keen to see anything related to the QC.

OK - not familiar with this… ???

when I did the HB-200BK video, I avoided this little bit of translation like the plague.

In other news… I am extremely excited that I’ve finally been able to acquire the Belfor Clicker Pencil. The real first side knock. Please Pencil Gods, have it arrive in working order.
