New wooden Kurutoga?

Has anyone seen the new wooden Kurutoga release? If so, what are your thoughts? The portion made of wood looks extremely thin, which makes me wonder how it will handle dry/humid climates…

Yeah, I think they look nice and have them in my cart. My first thought was maybe that it would be better swapped - metal grip, wood body, but we’ll see once I have them.

I ordered mine in green some time ago at an inflated price(mercari) it should be with me in a week or two.

I received mine 2 days ago and I really like it. I was worried because of how much i really dislike the Dive, but this is nothing like the Dive in almost every way. I really like the weight of it and the satin finish of the metal. I also like the feel of the wood and the way that the flare positions it within my hand.
Overall i think this is a really nice pencil and i am going to put it as my main user for a bit so that i can accurately experience it.
The ONLY thing i have to say negative about the pencil is that it requires such a long push to advance the lead.
Otherwise, great pencil. I think others would be happy. Id be interested to hear someone elses experience.

Waiting patiently for the official import to arrive in Singapore…

The flare is just a stop-gap solution to thicken the wood enough so that it can connect to the tip, right? Seems like a cop-out. But I hope I will like it anyway.

I will look shortly, but I don’t think it is. The flare isn’t like the “flare grip” on a spoke pencil for instance. It’s actually quite more subtle and less obvious until you hold it. The structure of it also isn’t built right before the grip ends. It’s the completion of an inverse curve that is shaped through half of the grip. It’s slight but I think that’s accurate. I am excited to hear your opinion though.

One way to test my theory is to see if KS or Metal parts are interchangeable. Perhaps they are not.
