Nice old set of Z2-1 erasers.
Has anyone ever come across the Z3-1 erasers (same size as the Z2-1)? I have seen them advertised in the Pentel US 1994 catalog in Green, then in the 2000 & 2012 catalogs in white. Starting in the US 2014 catalog, they are listed as Z2-1N.
Are you sure they are the same size?
I will look up my stock, but I know I do not have many Pentel eraser refills.
I don’t know if I have come across the Z3. Based on the info from your pics, the erasers have the same diameter, but the Z3 are shorter in length. (4 fit in the tube as opposed to 3 for the Z2.)
The Z2 were made in Japan and Taiwan.
The Z2-1N has 4 erasers per tube. They were (are) made in China.

The Z3-1 & Z2-1N are both the same and shorter than the Z2-1
I have just never seen any Z3-1 in the wild.
