MP Features that you like

I have all but one of the pencils in that picture—only missing the square etched Clutch Point—but damn… it wasn’t cheap to recreate :joy:

I’m also bummed about all my H-XXXX specimens, as none of them have proper stickers :unamused:

I think if I had an infinite supply of backups, I would only use the Pilot H-2103 and H-2105 on my desk as daily drivers.

What are the proper stickers?

:persevere: I should have just said “none of them have pricing stickers”

It means that they are not just instructions stickers on how to use the pencil, but pricing stickers.

I have a real cheapo called the Pilot Tuff. It’s ugly as sin, but by twisting the clip section, you can fully retract the eraser into the body, which I think is a pretty unusual feature, and I find it quite…charming?

I think there are more pencils with some kind of eraser mechanism, but I don’t remember which…
With Nestler Kaliber you have to shift the clip iirc.

We got here two high tech eraser device examples. The 3aiside MP-507 360⁰ spinning eraser and the Paper Mate Infinite Lead eraser-eraser cap (an eraser cap made out of eraser).

You are modest, Thomas. That’s a great review of the Platinum Z!

I have a couple of these, and was tempted to try collecting all variants, but I changed my mind. I love the premise and the minimalist design, but ergonomically the Z doesn’t suit me. Still, a remarkable design that won it MoMA approval!
