Mickey Minnie and Friends

I personally would like to see this location/thread filled with everyone’s Disney collections.

If you do post these here, please put the model number as well. Disney had all sorts of pencils of this configuration with different model numbers.
I assume that these are model DP15 or DP35S3.

On other posts on Knockology @dry has pics of the 4 DPD355 and 7 DPD359, and @erhunter71 has the pics of the Mickey and Winnie Hue pencils, as well as multiple DAI-ICHI LIFE examples.

About the STAEDTLER 925‑35 limited colours : Some of these come stamped “925‑25” while others are “925‑35”, and I’m still scratching my head over the logic behind the numbering. For me, chasing these limited‑edition colours is a medium‑difficulty hunt—being in Taiwan makes it relatively straightforward to snag Japanese‑made mechanical pencils.

It’s taken me several years. I’ve always wanted a complete set, but new colours keep dropping out like the Pentel P205 / SMASH series—an endless collection game. Lately, I’ve eased off the obsessive side and shifted focus to pieces that genuinely lift my mood, making the hunt feel a lot more relaxed. I currently have 58 of the 925‑35 (or 25) limited editions, and I’m steadily filling in the gaps.

I can’t say I’m not OCD‑prone; the years of design work just makes my obsessive side go full throttle.

Oh my
First, welcome
Second, are you displaying that amazing collection any specific way? Can we see a picture of them?

Thanks for your enthusiasm! I know that Knockology was in prep back then (not sure if I remember correctly—was there a pre‑launch thread on Reddit’s @mechanicalpencils?). Once the forum went live, I’ve been scrolling through it nightly as a bedtime ritual. Over the years, I’ve actually been swapping, trading, and chatting with lots of international collectors in private. I suspect many other collectors come here too but just stay quiet.

I can’t say my collection is “complete,” but I’m pretty satisfied. From high school to now, I’ve quietly built up over 4 000 mechanical pencils (thanks to a Christmas inventory audit with the kids). That’s a 25‑year of my youth, really. I have an indescribable attachment to mechanical pencils; maybe because my learning path and job are among the few that actually require daily use of a mechanical pencil (a blessing, or a grind—hard to say).

I once wanted to create a database but never really followed through. With AI advancing and seeing friends build successful apps with it, I’m getting fresh ideas on how to tackle this. I love the knowledge‑heavy vibe of Knockology—it solves a problem that’s frustrated me for years: finding hard‑to‑locate data on Pilot E500s or vintage Pentel and STAEDTLER models. I used to share most of this in a semi‑private mechanical pencil group, but like everything else, it’s deteriorated. The place is now flooded with off‑topic posts and DIY color‑change ads, so I’ve decided to leave that group. If I find some downtime at work, I’d be thrilled to share and chat here with everyone.

Very nice introduction, sounds like you fit in just fine.

If I recall correctly, you liked my ZEBRA pen/pencil M/F post. Your name stands out to me.
Thank you for liking one of my posts. Those ZEBRA are so perfect in my opinion.

For a high‑quality post, I always don’t be shy about clicking the “like” button—it’s both courteous and a handy way to bookmark something for future reference!

ZEBRA collection: Most of my pieces are models from 1995 onward, but a few years back I was lucky enough to snag an entire box of the first‑generation ZEBRA SHARBO 1st. That gave me a solid foundation to keep swapping with everyone.

Right now, the most common pieces in my stash are the SHARBO PII and the X series (and a pile of DelGuard models, too).—both super practical for everyday work. I’ll tidy things up a bit and start posting my collection here (I always want the lighting just right, the arrangement perfect, before I take a pic).

Just as I’ve been upfront about it, my OCD for a picture‑perfect post is pure designer courtesy—I’m hard at work tightening up my own standards.Of course, it’s also because I genuinely enjoy the process.

For a long time, the general idea people came up with, which STAEDTLER also seemed to follow, was that the 925 25 model number indicated the silver version, while 925 35 was for limited or special colors (at the start it was a 925 25 in black, and in 2010 they released it in the night blue colorscheme). However, as your example and many others online show, this idea has not held true for quite some time

Thanks for the rundown, stu‑dying—I’ll try to keep my posts even tighter.

Knockology’s knowledge base really helps clear up the differences between mechanical pencil models, turning collecting into a proper discipline. That makes everything feel super reassuring.
