Dredging up this old multi-pen topic… just wanted to add, something I’d posted over HERE, is that I finally found a multi-pen where there’s no pencil tip movement when advancing. The multi-pens made by YAFA.
The pencil D1 insert is long, probably longest one I’ve seen so far. There is a visible spring. I don’t know what YAFA did, but it’s pretty remarkable that this pen company could achieve this, while all of the others show some tip movement. At some point I need to pull out the pencil inserts from all of my multi-pens and do a comparative photo.
Anyway, build-quality wise, the YAFA is OK. They somehow get a quad working in a rather narrow body with some models. But the most solid multi-pen I’ve found so far is the old rOtring 600 Trio… but also the most heavy.
