Hi folks !
I bought a box of goodies at auction and in it was this flip top, twist mechanism pencil
Has the greek key style decoration on the cap, similar to the Wahl ones. No marks. Haven’t had it tested yet but looks like gold ( I’ve looked inside the cap with magnifying loop and it’s still gold like the outside)
I know it’s probably generic but hoping someone might recognise the mechanism / style

Part of an eraser in the cap, which twists until the lead appears ( twist back and push the lead to retract it )

Hi, the Leadhead Pencils blog wrote about that one once… I’m trying to find it, maybe you can find it before me. Welcome to the forum

Ah, you’re right. For some reason, it doesn’t show it as a google search result, but using the website’s search bar I could find it too
Here for anyone interested
It’s interesting how you both came up with the same phrase to describe it. “Top” is not something I’ve seen used much for pencil caps
