One day, I was scrolling through Knockology. Seeing all the posts made me want to search for mechanical pencils on domestic websites. That turned out to be the best decision I made that night, because moments later I came across a listing for an used Mechanica 0.3mm from a seller who apparently didn’t know what he had. I think this is the biggest (possibly only) pro of living in a country that doesn’t have a mechanical pencil ‘history’ or market (unlike Korea, Japan, Germany, Taiwan, etc.). Similar to the TK Matic L and Pilot H-1005 with double stickers that I got, the Archis that griffisu found, and the Micromatic 777 15 that someone else snatched about two years ago, every once in a while a random listing appears on our domestic sites for something relatively to extremely rare at a good price.
Similar to the one Damdeok gave me, it has a mid-production body and pin/knocker combo paired with a first-generation grip. However, this one also features a first-generation clip (though it’s a bit rusty). It’s considerably more worn than the one Damdeok gave me, so I’ll try to clean it up before putting it to use. For reasons only the original owner could explain, the tip has also been cut down a little, perhaps it was bent at some point. Thankfully, the pencil still works flawlessly.
Once it’s cleaned up, this will probably become my “to-use” model, while the other will be my “to-show” model. That said, I’m also open to trading or selling it for a fair price, considering its condition (specially the tip).
