I’ve been a lurker here for a while, but i decided to post today for the first time in order to pay it back to the community for all the pleasure i have derived and knowledge acquired reading your discussions.
I live in Vienna where there’s a Manufactum flagship store in the old town. I bought two Manufactum pencils there yesterday, one black and one bare brass. Currently, the Vienna store has 5 black Manufactum and 16 brass ones left. They also have aluminum ones but i don’t like pencils which are too light in the hand.
My small, but strong collection is comprised of two wingbacks (titanium and brass), a twsbi, rotring 600 and 800, a kerry, a parker jotter, a tactile turn (titanium), pro-use 241, kaweco special, two manufactums and four ij instruments which are currently in production - number 9 in titanium, brass and copper, and a pg5 with a brass lead indicator in ss. The manufactums are likely going to render the 800 obsolete in my collection. I think they are great pencils at a fair price.
I would be happy to buy a batch for our American friends and ship them to you as a token of gratitude.
