I always loved the 6316 Techno-Tac model and set on a quest to get a full set of NOS new leadholders covering the whole range of hardnesses to fill my display card. Did well but didn’t quite make it and they’re now on display/for sale (https://allanmac.com)
Lyra always knows what’s going on. For over 200 years.
Lyra made some terrific leadholders — and even some interesting knock MP’s, I have been told.
I got one of their “for drafters” set with one standard 2.00mm clutch pencils from the 6316 series, probably marked as “HB”, and one “cousin” labelled 6324 with a red (plastic) pushbutton, for coloured lead. Great piece, very interesting form factor, quite pleasant to use.
Ha! The ever-present dwarf-version no one knows about! Is it 6014 or 6314? I cannot distinguish che cyphers very well from here.
I also happen to have a weird “Lyra 2015” for larger lead cores — but not the extra-large, 5.6mm ones fitting the 7161 in the picture — which however does not seem to adapt to the “standard” larger diameters we have around nowadays: a 3.15mm is too slim and slips out, but a 4.4mm seems too girth-y. Colours and materials, on the other hand, perfectly mirror @lsd300 ‘s 7161, with that delicate reddish finish, and suprisingly well-designed propportions. I especially like these oddities.
with clips top down: 6314, 6315, 6316…
red button version has no number
Looks exactly like mine, and that is labelled 6324. Thanks for the reference! ![]()
@lsd300 Great to see those clip versions, they evaded me. Like the Faber 9441 I imagine the built-in clips would be prone to coming loose an breaking off making good ones even more ellusive (and valuable).
I left off my favourite little Lyra model the ‘Italiano’ which came on a colourful display card. It was already complete so I didn’t have to fill any gaps which was a good thing since I haven’t seen any since.
Thank you for all these shares… it’s so good to learn more about the wide, wide world out there!
Holy schnikies batman…so nice…
Not warped …yet
