Looking for repair resources for Rotring Trio Multi-Pen (Blue/Red/0.7mm)

Hello.

I’m trying to figure out how to repair (or get repaired) and second gen. Rotring 600 Trio Multi-Pen.

The Rotring has been in my briefcase for over a year and not used. When I took it out a few days back, I noticed that the end covering the pens+pencil had fallen off. I thought, no problem, just screw it back on. But, it doesn’t screw on all the way.

I phoned Rotring and they say there is nothing I can do. But I’m pretty handy, so maybe this is repairable?? I’ve been searching on the web and found this forum. So I thought I’d ask a question.

Is this something repairable?

Can you recommend an online resource that shows a disassembly or repair guide somewhere?

Is there a company somewhere that would repair this?

Thanks in advance.

I had that issue, I tried carefully assembling it, but the threads just didnt want to catch. And when it did, it didnt go in all the way.
I solved it by putting a bit of super lube on the outer threads, maybe try that before attempting any expensive solutions

I don’t know this specific model but in pendulum selection multipens the threaded part of the body is generally also tasked with keeping the mechanism inside. It may have moved forward in yours, in which case you can probably feel somme mushiness when knocking (that would be the mechanism moving before the actual knock action engages). If that’s the case, you can try gently pushing the threaded part back inside.
