I’d already gotten the Penco Bullet Pencil in ‘mint’ to go with the Kaweco Sport in ‘fine lime’ because of the appealing jade-like translucency way back in Jan of 2025, so I wasn’t actively looking for more items with a similar color quality.
While browsing the revamped (and downsized) Books Kinokuniya at Raffles City, I came across the current line up of Tombow MONO graph lite gel pens, in what Tombow calls ‘Milk Glass’ colors: gently pastel translucent shades of pastel orange, green, blue, brown etc. And of course, I gravitated toways the green version.
I turned an aisle and what do you know? A rack of cheapie Pilot Rexgrip pencils that also sported translucent colours. And right next to it was a stack of Neox Graphite, also in translucent colors. I wondered then, “What is the probability I will find an eraser holder in a similar scheme?”… and there it was, the Pentel Click Eraser 2 that I usually overlooked, cloaked in translucent green.
All-in the 4 new acquisitions set me back less than $10
