Can anyone recommend me a brand of lead that still makes 2.60 mm diameter or similar (2.50 mm or so)? I need them for my sweethearts…
If anyone has these leads from Staedtler in hardness B or harder, I would be interested in too.

Have you considered Faber-Castell? I think their 5B and 6B lead cores (TK 9071 in 3.15mm) are a bit fatter than the ones in the H/HB-/F- and low-B-range, and they are even sold in different containers. Apart from those, I think Caran d’Ache had its Technalo lineup (article no. 6379), but those lead cores are even bigger, and need some 4.4mm clutch pencil — their own Fixpencil 44 Museum.
Also, I remember that KIN had slightly larger lead cores for their Toison d’Or series of lead holders, but I am far from sure the cores are still sold today. Will look into it soon.
Many construction pencils are 2.8, if that works for yours.
These leadholder can not be filled with leads 3.15 mm… they are soo thick. It has to be lead with almost 2.6 mm, so 2.5 mm K-I-N leads (works, today available in 3B only) or 2.8 mm (?), but I have not tested yet because I have not them…
I think I found an incomplete box in the back of an art supplies shop here in Trieste years ago, they are somewhere in a drawer, maybe I can at least retrieve the model number, and also look for other diameters compatible with those Mars Technico’s. Will let you know what I can discover.
There is a brand called M&G which makes these simple plastic MPs with colored leads for kids, diameter written on the package is 2,6 mm:
