Korea Purchase Help

Are there any members in Korea who can help me buy a local pencil or two from a local maker?

Purchase requires a Naver account and the maker does not ship internationally.

The name of the piece I am targeting is: ‘코코볼로 블레이드 x’, ‘코코볼로 블레이드x 라벤스트라이프 type3’

Thanks for considering.

I continue to be dismayed at how inaccessible Korean e-marketplaces are. I’ve been wanting to support Sharp Tank for a while now but the ‘friction’ in their proxy process is just too spicy for me.

I assume proxy shipping services do not have Naver accounts so a private person has to do it?

Yes, that is the way it looks to me.

Does Teresa shop Korea?

Havent used her services. I consider this part of the friction.

I asked her….. we will know shortly

Is this challenge peculiar to the MP collecting sphere?

She does not, her proxy that she used to use was causing alot of problems. Shes in the process of finding a new one but currently she does not purchase from Korea!

Most of my household’s Korean purchases are… drumroll… cosmetics and skincare products! These are available through popular shopping apps, blog shops etc. The cottage industry for custom made mechanical pencils, however, seems to operate in a totally different commercial reality.

Since this is made and sold by an individual, there isn’t a separate retailer; you need to contact the maker directly to purchase. There appears to be a backlog, so even if you place an order now, the lead time is uncertain.

That is not a sales website but rather a community site, similar to our Knockology. The community owner makes and sells the items. To purchase, you would probably need to use the Korean social media app “KakaoTalk.” Since I’m Korean, I could help you with that, but as I mentioned earlier, it’s uncertain when new items will become available. The price is roughly 200,000 KRW (about 170 USD).
