KITERA’s 3rd Original Pencil Is Here – Buy or Pass?

Looks like KITERA is releasing their third original mechanical pencil!
They just launched the LIFT+, but lately KITERA has been very active in bringing out new stationery.
This time, the new pencil is called the “KS-03BK DOUBLE CHUCK MECHANICAL PENCIL 0.5”, and as the name suggests, it features a double chuck mechanism.
The retail price is said to be 2,200 yen.

Are you planning to get one?

I saw on the webpage they had this and another plastic body one. Weren’t both these sold under the Penac brand sometime back?

I believe these are OEM products from Penac (Kotobuki), which would explain why KITERA has been frequently releasing them as “original” items under their own brand.

If it is as cheap as the dual pack KS-02 then I will definitely buy it! The tip isn’t what I would normally pick but I’ll give it a shot at the right price.

I wish Kitera would consider beyond 0.5mm… As I already have a Penac PRD105, I will probably give this a miss. The Lift+ was the right approach - new form factor and high quality construction. The KS-01 was a bit too cheaply made.

Didn’t the KS-01 also have a plastic clutch?

I’d be happy about a 0.3 LIFT+!

Where can I find a dual-pack of KS02?

They were on both the auction and Mercari in bulk
I could only find this silver by itself right now.

It isn’t any more expensive as 1
I didn’t pay $20 for two but I didn’t pay $10 either.
I’d say buy the one and see if you can find (I think it’s blue) the blue one later

Could be black, I know my ks01 is blue

I LOVE the Penac due to it being readily available. I have the Kitera 01(Kohinoor rip)02(blickpremiere rip) so I’m definitely going to grab the 03 (which, imo is a twisted pilot h-210x rip).
