KITERA might release a wooden version of the LIFT+.
Apparently, it’s currently in development.
They’re also said to be developing a body-knock mechanical pencil.
Beautiful!
Here is a Kokyo body knock I received lately. Ive never heard of it. Only mentioning due to the topic. Any insight would be appreciated
The wood Lift+ looks to be a general purpose type, which I appreciate. It is good to explore more formats.
For the possible body knock, I hope they will explore an original body design, like what they did with Lift+. It’s not interesting to see a repeat of the many Mistral types, unless it offers something unusual like 0.3mm or 0.7mm.
Congrats! You have a Mistral PS-M100C 0.5mm from around 2005. We refer to this as the ‘Cross type’ because of its resemblance to a Cross Classic Century ballpoint. Kokuyo also made ballpoints in this format. Other colors include glossy champagne gold (kinda like a Titanium shade), glossy black/gunmetal, and matte black.
Thank you! I had no clue it was a body knock when purchasing, but it does seem like a quality MP.
Is this part of the Mistral series??? Or is it an outlier with a similar name/model?
It is an official Mistral—otherwise it wouldn’t have a proper model number. It was the first Mistral I ever got and at that time, around 2012-14, the Kokuyo site had a dedicated page for repairing Mistral models.
I figured as much, but never have seen it “numbered” in their line-up, I had to ask. Thanks for the information
This is the design for the new body-knock mechanical pencil.
I heard they’re aiming for a release around November.
It seems like they’re also planning to release a ballpoint pen.
This seems to be based on the ‘Cross type’ judging by the clip. Yet, they have found a way to make it different by going with a stealth all-black scheme. The finial shape also looks different—I wonder if they still include the little eraser?
Yes, the Cross clip is so overplayed. Must cost $0.0001 to produce, so executives can count their money based on its inclusion.
