Hello from downunder! It’s about time I signed up to Knockology as I keep ending here anyway while researching my various leadholders. There are several familiar names and some I’m sure who’ll know me or at least know my collection. My interest has always been 2mm+ leadholders and the older the better.
The time has come for me to gradually part with many years worth of bounty including many very rare leadholders. I’ve created a ‘Canva’ web page linked to my domain so I can list items for viewing and/or buying. The structure is intended to also be a sort of ‘Visual Museum’ for other collectors to reference.
There are between 2500 & 3000 leadholders in my collection so it’s going to take quite a while to list everything. So far I’ve had several “do you have xyz?” and mostly I’ve been able to find something.
Pease feel free to contact me or visit the site. Leadholders
Wait, so you are indeed the one man so often mentioned by the legendary D.B. Smith himself?
I have often marvelled at your impossibly rare finds on the pages of Leadholder-dot-com; I bow while welcoming your arrival on this board.
[Also I am more afraid than ever that I will become so much poorer from now on…]
Thanks for sharing your world of leadholders and other mechanical pencils: I hope there will be many opportunities to acquire some of your pieces, and let them move into another country, to see a bit of a different hemisphere before passing to yet another owner, one day.
