I ask for help for a short translation

Hello, could someone help me understand the lyrics of this song, or help me translate it into Spanish while maintaining the meaning, any clarification would be appreciated.

Evergreen
Richy Mitch & The Coal Miners

Locked in a stalemate
With a man who bars no holds
Rock and a hard place
He’s battering control
What am I waiting for?
Feet planted beneath
My compass, my transport

The lyrics are about being stuck in a tough situation, kind of like when you’re caught between two bad choices. When he says “locked in a stalemate,” it means nothing is moving forward.

The phrase “bars no holds” is an American saying that means he will do anything to win, without following rules.

“Rock and a hard place” is another saying that means being in a difficult spot where neither option is good.

The singer is feeling stuck, asking himself why he hasn’t moved on yet, and he’s looking for some kind of direction (“compass”) to help him out of the situation.

Ok, now I understand better. So “rock and a hard place” means being “between a sword and a wall”. Of course I wrote it in Google Translate and it didn’t make sense, I should have consulted a dictionary of idioms, ty Thomas ( In fact, I understood the opposite, that the guy feel free).
