Hello, I'm a pentel Sharp collector from Korea

Hello, I’m pentel Sharp Collector from Korea. I’m mainly collecting pentel’s Mechanica Sharp and I’m trying to collect it by period. I joined after hearing that there is a place like this from my teacher, Damdeok. I look forward to your kind cooperation.

Hello~ It’s an honor to join the global community. I’ve been talking through a translator, and some of it has been mistranslated. I’m sorry.

I must say I think we all were mesmerized by Damdeok’s collection photos that were shared here.

Nice to meet you Damdeok is a famous collector in Korea as well. Some of my Mechanica collection I have is also purchased from Damdeok.

@Mec - When you have time, could you please give us some insight into some of the pencils on the Korean market? For collectors in the US, most Korean pencils are quite rare and mysterious to us. I’d really like to learn more about the Koren product lines.

Welcome @Mec! It is quite amazing to see how many boxed MEC you have collected! If you are able to share, I would love to know the serial numbers for the earliest versions…

This is a collection I could only ever dream of getting, it’s beautiful! What is the difference between the 1st and 2nd generations?

The exchange that sells stationery in Korea is a system that foreigners cannot do business with. If you want to get information on Korean mechanical pencils, there is a 110,000-member community called Naver Cafe “Sharp Research Institute.”

I collected a total of 30 to 40 sets. It looks a little terrible because it was taken before. Please understand. Regarding 0.3, I have completed collecting the previous generation, so I will share it with you soon.

It’s an honor to meet you! Even among Korean collectors, the Fentel-related writings written by Nim Lord are very useful and well used. Please share a lot of information in the future

Welcome @Mec. Glad you are here. I am impressed with your focus. I am not able to keep my interests so narrow. You may be the only collector I know that has a single model focus. Very cool.

You mentioned that Damdeok is your teacher. Do you mean he is your teacher in the sharp collecting community?

The most obvious difference between the first and second generations is the ribbon cord shape of the medal. The ribbon cord of the first generation is very thick. I leave you a picture of the first generation…

Hello, thank you for your interest. Our main focus is Mechanica Sharp, but we also have a lot of miscellaneous Pentel Sharp. Like Damduk, I have been compiling mechanica pencils by period for many years, and I am no less than a teacher to help me complete my previous season’s collection of mechanica.

Welcome! That’s so impressive, I remember seeing your post in r/mechanicalpencils a while ago. For how long have you been collecting pencils?

Nice to meet you. I’m in my second year of collecting mechanical pencils, and I’ve been collecting Mont Blanc writers for years before, and I’ve given up
