Hi all, nice to be in the open forum here- many familiar faces/names. I’m London based and mainly a leadholder collector, also an artist and designer here in London. Occassionally sell on eBay under the same handle and also have a collection growing over on Insta as the same name. Great community- thanks for creating it!
Welcome
Welcome to Knockology!
Hello there
Welcome! Good to hear you are UK based, I am based in Oxfordshire area.
Welcome!
Welcome to the place you belong to!
Great to have you here!
Welcome!
Welcome! What’s your favorite lead holder?
Welcome…roll out those holders..
Cheers!
Very niche requirement, but generally anything with a smooth nose. This allows broad shading strokes using the side of the lead, without risking gouging the paper surface. The Kitaboshi 2mm is the best modern available I’ve seen, for this. The old victorian faber and hardtmuth 2mm holders have the same and I really enjoy using those too.
Welcome, we look forward to seeing you show us something from your collection!
Great stuff- do buzz me for a coffee if you’re ever in London! Cheers
