Grip for Pentel Graph 1000 for Pro

Does anyone know of an alternative grip for the Pentel Graph 1000 for Pro, e.g. something compatible from another pencil? I would like one without the rubber dots.

What do you like about the Graph 1000?

I like it’s design, its light weight and the fact that it’s available in 0.4 mm. I don’t actually have anything against its grip but I would prefer one without rubber dots from time to time.

There’s a ‘movement’ amongst Japanese collectors now. They replace the PG1000 grip using tinted cellulose sleeves… Here’s the source: Gojuon webstore.

There’s also people making custom metal grips, like so for ¥2500, or even in anodized titanium.

Wow, this is amazing!

What I did to mine and now I love it, was remove the rubber.

It is a very quiet pencil, the click is very consistent.

I hesitate to do something similar because the Graph 1000’s metal grip feels ‘thin’ and I’m worried it might get dented or deformed without the underlying support of the silicone pad.

Kelvin I tell you that right now I’m squeezing the grip hard and I can’t deform it, I think that even if I really want to deform it by squeezing with my fingers I won’t be able to do it without enough tenacity.
