Could you get me the date codes off those pencils? They are on the body, inside the loop of the clip.
I am trying to figure out when the Red one at the bottom was in the production.
Here is what I (believe I) know now:
Gen 1: has the short tip, silver Technoclic. As far as I can tell, manufactured in 1983, from the date codes I have seen. Had the Technoclic label (seen above on the green).
Gen 2: “Normal” tip (as seen above), silver Technoclic. Began (I believe) being manufactured in 1984. Early versions had the Technoclic label, later versions, probably not or were Export models.
Gen 3(?): “Normal” tip, no paint on Technoclic. Not sure of manufacture date. This is what I would like to determine.
On the red, the cap and the grip area appear to be smooth (at least in front of the clicker). Is this correct or just an artifact of the picture?
