Really digging the capped design here

Great suggestions, the top one needs more knock gap, which I plan to increase in the later iteration.

I hadn’t seen this thread, you really have very good designs, is there any project to manufacture one?

Thank you, still just exploring designs but I intend to realize at least a few concepts in the near future.

Same. Not sure I ever noticed this thread. So fun to see.

I love the third from left in this image.

Curious what you are using for renders in Rhino.

Are you taking pictures of your screen? The fabric filter looks very interesting.

I love the third from left in this image. Also, the faux stickers is a nice touch.

Are you taking pictures of your screen in the earlier pics? The fabric filter looks very interesting.

Wow!
Serious evolution here! They look almost real

And all look like could be put straight into production

Hey thanks, the latest iteration was made in Alias and I used keyshot to render it. Yes I clicked a picture from my phone because the original file is on my work laptop.

Thank you. I am surprised you didn’t get crazy moirĂ© effects with a pic of your computer screen.

Great stuff! They all look interesting and viable. If you don’t mind my suggestion, try coming up with with your own set of problems (like the clip does something or there is one more functionality, or a different functionality to a specific section, etc): this will very likely force you to find new shapes and new solutions and you’ll gradually move away from your references which I think are still very present in many of these designs.

Well done mate!

Thanks. I am going to start exploring new ideas again with more detail than before. Hope something totally fresh comes from it at some point.

My usual process for office work is to do ideation on paper with a clear goal to develop. However for all these designs I have directly started sculpting in 3d which is a very usual method for me.

Thanks always good to hear such good feedback!
I totally agree that there is a clear reflection of some of the inspiration here. I have spent way too much time and money on mercari in the last 4 years

I think I can also try it with the method you have suggested to have a unique function then develop a shape for it(form follows function) with hoping to create a new design entirely.

The designs are really cool! You make me want to revisit my Blender, although haven’t used it for a long time
Hope I still remember those shortcuts.

The second from the bottom is simple yet elegant. But they are all awesome.
