Hi Everyone, I’m Mike and I’ve just joined the forum.
I’m not a collector just an enthusiastic user and have been since childhood (now in my 70’s) : (
I bought a Faber-Castell TK Matic in the early 80’s it was the green barrelled plastic/paint version. As soon as the steel lux version arrived I bought one of these. At the time I was teaching Art & Design and found it brilliant for writing AND sketching, I have been using it almost continually since then… 40 odd years?
The TK Matic has worked almost flawlessly apart from the occasional clean and smoothing of the nose cone, but… a couple of days ago when I picked it up, to my astonishment the nose cone piece was missing. How it had unscrewed itself I cannot understand, but it did and now it’s unusable.
Does anyone know where I can get hold of one, I’ve looked on ebay, but there seems only complete pencils for sale, at exceptional high prices.
Hopefully someone out there will be able to help.
Thanks.
I could have sworn that a seller on eBay UK was selling Tk-matic parts. Mind you it was like 40-80 GBP per piece.
Welcome Mike
hey @Mikey Mike -
Parts on ebay:
Hi,
Yes I think I tried this seller, they had a number of parts on offer unfortunately the end cone had been sold, didn’t get chance to see how much it was.
Thanks for responding though : )

Next option is to look on classifieds in your country. Sometimes occasional sellers are not aware of their value. I got mine for 20 euros shipped…
Wow that’s seems a bargain, just started the search so hopefully something will turn up
