Eberhard Faber Thingamajig

Eberhard Faber Thingamajig. Does anyone know what this actually is? It’s very cute and never been used judging by the condition and appearance. There are different sized slots and a hole (lead sized) around the circumference. Clock is set at 18min past 8.00. allanmac.com

Not sure we’re getting much closer, haha. BTW, it isn’t a trick question - I haven’t got a clue.

Here’s a couple mpre pics…

It most resembles watch movement/mechanism tins but there was no Eberhard Faber watch.

I can only think that’s what it is with a promotion for Eberhard Faber of some sort

More seriously, it could be a kind of display to present pencils or leads or boxes fanned (probably horizontally, although you could be missing a base to hold it vertically).

Interesting, that wheel eraser very well might fit with the brush part fitting through one of the slots perhaps.

the point of that??

But why would it have the different sized slots? They’re about 1.5mm wide. Extra photo to help…
