Never heard of this brand before. Anyone here know anything about it?
Pipe slide. Seemingly nice machining. Brand and lead size engraved into the metal body, as Pentel used to do. I wonder how good it feels when in hand…
Ahhh another of the 3rd tier of obscurity. I put Greatman right next to Chikyu and Mitukan, just below Morison because Morison actually made fountain pens.
Morrisons popularity on mercari and x seems definitely higher than Chikyu and Greatman
I recently got a Greatman in 0.5 by one of the members in this community; it was part of a larger bulk purchase; the pencil is short (not an issue per se: I have relatively small hands), but surprisingly exquisite.
Its main drawback is the non-removable clip, as always with these executive or semi-executive models. However, this time I forced myself to gently tuck away the clip, and immediately I found that the resulting rectangular hole does not interfere at all with my hand when I grip the pencil: true magic.
Apart from that, the pencil is very cute, very light, very agile in my hand, and once equipped with the right lead cores, it provides an amazing feeling; skyrocketing overall quality, especially when the materials are factored in (cheap aluminum wrought carefully, and some old-style plastic; internals in brass and some transparent rubber tube, if I remember correctly). Even the click of the pushbutton sounds cute. To sum up, a very special item.
Greatman: because small and tiny writing instruments can indeed be great.
