Does anyone have information regarding the Faber Castell Poly Plus?

Hello I am a long time lurker, first time poster. I have recently acquired the titular pencil in 0.7. When I searched online all I could find about it were ancient sold out listings that were generic. Not even Faber-Castell themselves had any information about it on their website. So I was wondering if any one of you had any information about this?

Hi, nice to have one more user and one less lurker

I have never seen it in stores. It seems like it got discontinued in favour of the faber castell grip plus. I don’t think it’s a sought after model but it’s not particularly common either.

I know a tiny little bit.

In my notes I bought a “Poly Plus” back in 2007 from a local retailer here in New Zealand. It had no country of origin on it, was marked “Poly” on the pencil, but the packaging stated “Poly Plus 1325”. I noted it was the same pencil as the Brazilian “Poly”.

Mine says poly plus 0.7. It’s purple, has a silver grip (It’s broken so the previous owner was probably a student :D) silver tip and twist eraser mechanism. I am very surprised by the fact that it came with replacement parts of everything but the mechanism. First time I have seen such a thing. Also are you the guy behind Dave’s Mechanical Pencils? If so, I am honored to see you reply to my post. It’s really helpful

Oh wow I didn’t know that you are the author of Dave’s Mechanical Pencils! That’s amazing. What a honor to have you in the forum.

Yes I am “Dave”. Thanks for the “honour” but really I’m just a beginner with a medium sized collection compared to the serious collector experts here on the forum.
