Timeline broken down by year of the Showa and Heisei periods.
The Showa period (1926-1989) and the Heisei period (1989-2019) are names of time periods in Japan. Each period represents the reign of an emperor. Showa is the reign of Emperor Hirohito, and Heisei is the reign of his son, Emperor Akihito.

If you see the “date” on the first slide, it is just to the right of the model number. For instance the P575 (upper right of first slide) says S52. On later slides, the models are shown by column with S## or H# shown.
To get the Common Era date, add 1925 to the S##, so the P575 (S52) would be 1977. For the Heisei era, add 1988 to the H#, so on the last slide, the H2 colum has the AYP301, which would be 1990.
