Designer duo in white, grey and red

The thing about cool multi-pens is that… they are multi-pens. i.e. if you already have a pen and a pencil in one body, why carry more? Which defeats the fun of matching things up for me.

In this case I noticed the similar color schemes for these two designs, but found a ‘solution’. As the Alessi Pens AP101 by Hani Rashid is fixed as a 0.5mm MP, I decided to swap in a 0.7 component on the Zebra Sharbo TX-2, to avoid duplicating functions.

The TX-2 is officially designed by Barry Weaver Design, but the story goes that it was actually handled by a young Jonathan Ive when he was working there. Truthfully, the documentation or proof is sketchy but I want to believe, haha.
