Cone and or grip becomes undone

I have issues with a rotring 600 2.0 I purchased new years ago and never used. I recently started using it and what happens is the come will loosen as I sketch. This also happens with two new Staedtler 925 35 I have. What is the best way to prevent the cone on the rotring and grip from self loosening.

I will add that the threads are in like new shape

My cone doesn’t budge at all

I don’t know if yours is defective or mine but I’m sure it’s a simple fix

This is on a 2.0 with the silver colored cone?

I would get some teflon tape and wrap the threads once or twice and put it back together.

Strange that yours won’t budge. Mine literally has been used for less than 10 hours and loosens I. It’s own from drawing. Never been dropped.

I made a similar post before about 2.0 mm lead holders. They were mainly designed for drafting work at the drafting table, so they aren’t really ideal for heavy writing or drawing.

The occasional lead slipping back can be quite frustrating, especially if you naturally apply more pressure while writing or sketching.

For more practical everyday use, a 2.0 mm model with a controlled lead advance mechanism would be a much better choice. The 2.0 mm format has a unique pencil-like writing and drawing feel that smaller lead sizes simply can’t replace.
