Yup, the Pure Malt is a multipen/pencil. That Platinum is a mechanical pencil only.

I don’t know that many people are aware, but these Skilcraft/US govt pencils are actually pretty well made, and have both lead cushioning as well as a sliding sleeve. The clutches are brass also.
