Tastefully curated classics, dressed to the nines. That’s Craft Design Technology for you. Their versions of the Pentel S55, Graphgear 500, Tradio, Kerry — all adorned in sophisticated silver, white and green were joined recently by the Zebra Sharbo ST3, sporting a beguiling Japanese braid inspired pattern in white.
Nothing could shake that brand formula! Even the ANA inflight purchase edition of the Sharbo featured a version of the screen printed pattern in an established light green or pistachio color.
Then in 2024, CDT announced yet another version of ‘item 36: Multifunctional Pen’, except this time it was black-on-black. Natural evolution? A breath of fresh air? Or totally by the book? It was devilishly subtle, even lower contrast that the original white-on-silver. Heck, most people would think: Oh, you’ve got yourself a plain black Sharbo, eh? How unimaginative!
But jokes on them. As your fingers trace the fractional bumps of black paint over the graphite-smooth black anodized body, they read back in secret code: YOU ARE PART OF THE CHOSEN! Go forth and spread classiness unto the masses!
