What a pity! These are some of the most interesting designs that rOtring ever produced ![]()
For FC, it might be fun tracking down the TK-9555 and siblings like how @DarkwingDuck has done. Or maybe check out a 9800SG, Microlette 0.5… Also worth checking out the DS75 automatic and Aviator DC double knock.
Staedtler’s REG and 925 95 are actually made in Japan, as are their RETRO series of double-knocks. Maybe check out the old Marsmicro 770 and Marstechno 770?
A couple more that come to mind… Montblanc Carrera pencil, Pelikan Signum series, maybe the Diplomat Aero?
Check out the Faber-Castell Porsche Design series as well if you like titanium coatings.
Holy cow, Yes!
I echo @drifand recommending Pelikan Signum series and the Montblanc Carrera. (The latter I’m receiving my first ones shortly)
I also recommend Geha Style series.
Pelikan, Geha, Montblanc (when they’re affordable), Faber Castell 95XX series, Staedtler, Rotring 300 and 400 series with the plastic grip.
I love German pencils!!!
You have to drift into the French and Swiss pencils too though.
I mean German brands,it’s OK if the model is manufactured in Japan or somewhere else.
There’s Manufactum, Diplomat, and Nestler as well.
The top one seems to be a rebadge of the Sun-Star Metal Grip Pro! Very inetresting!!
