So good to see all of these in one place! Those handmade PG5 customs where the wood section is 1/3 or less proportionally to the rest of the length feel ‘wrong’ somehow… at 1/3 length, I would prefer to feel them at the grip instead of brushing them on the web of my thumb occasionally!

You make a really good point. I think about 10~15mm longer (in place of metal section) on the longer ones would help a lot. The others that are just 1/3rd… look so unbalanced, geometrically speaking. The all metal one at the bottom (no lead indicator window) looks the most striking to me. I get how on some they almost looks like a long echo of the Pentel Kerry, with that separately machined band in the middle. In those cases, I’d prefer wood on both sides of it, like the Kerry (replacing plastic with wood). Or even transparent plexiglass would look rather striking.
The one design with the cut in the steel body… looks to be access to the reservoir tubes for both the standard lead and colored lead, while maintaining a solid one-piece metal body (just nose cones unscrew). Neat idea.

@cytherian, is that twin tip by Lindsay? It is so cool.
No, they are by 590 & Co.
I believe Lindsay started doing these custom metal pencils, then a bunch of others jumped on the bandwagon.
There were others doing wood and resin, but the metal ones are recent.
