The Twister is a big, comfortable and warm to the touch acrylic resin pen (capped 147mm — uncapped 137mm) with a titanium nib and rhodium trims (?). It is a vacuum filler and carries a lot of ink. The nib is okay, has a bit of flex but it’s not ideal for left-handed people like me. Might trade for an Italic or a Broad nib someday.

I noticed you’re seriously into Zebralight. I do enjoy the brand, although the UI is not really my favorite (I’m much more into Anduril v2). Still, very solid flashlights. I just wish they’d had more emitter choices.
Love your Jetbeam flashlights. I only have a couple, none on the mid-large size. I’d found Jetbeam to be lacking on desirable emitters and I wasn’t willing to shell out double the price to have one modded. Reflowing emitters is a nice skill that one day I hope to be able to do!

Nice! I was into fountain pens for a pretty long stretch, then I just gradually cut back on my use over time. My favorite has been a rOtring 700 with a fine oblique nib. It’s a little springy and has nice line variation, plus the extended international ink cartridge fits easily into it… and amazingly, it can go long periods without the nib & feed getting clogged. But I really love the Platinum Galaxy vermeil, PILOT Vanishing Point Raden, and the PILOT M90 Myu.

some of mine jetbeam have been modded, same with my zebras. I knew there had to be another flashlight guy here lol. got any LEPs yet? those are so fun.

Ah, which Jetbeams did you modify and did you have someone do it or perform it yourself? There’s a guy named Bob who is often seen on the Flashlight sub (Reddit) and on BLF, who offers Zebralight modding services. He does excellent work, but it’s rather costly when factoring in shipping both ways as well. I’ve not gotten into LEP yet. I’ve been waiting for it to go a bit more mainstream so prices come down. It would be purely a toy, because in day-to-day stuff I’ve zero need for one.
Anyway, thanks – I have picked up quite an array of flashlights across the gamut, from tiny EDC’s to moderate throwers. No giants, though. My Noctigon DM1.12 is my largest. Like most collectors, I tend to be nitpicky about captive proprietary cells. But I relax that for RovyVon. I really love their designs and build quality. And so far battery life has been excellent. My oldest model is maybe down about 15% in battery capacity. I’d sworn off buying any more flashlights as pretty much anything I’d get would be a duplicate, but I wound up with an L50 by FireflyLite. I love it. So beautifully done.

Nice collection! I see you’re mostly into fixed blade, but also have a few folders. The one with the “jade” scales… Kizer or Civivi?
Is the katana a real one, or more of a ceremonial copy? If not just for display, what do you use it for?

The jade folder is from Damned Designs (cringey name I know), the katana is a replica tachi but made correctly with the right types of steel actually folded multiple times and differentially hardened, costs roughly $1000. They are obviously used for close quarters melee combat

LEGO Star Wars dioramas. I really like the LEGO sets “for adults” that have appeared over the past decade or so. My favorite is the Death Star Trench Run. The intricate details using small pieces is great! Not too unlike how practical models were made in the original films.

What an awesome diorama! I was once a huge LEGO fan myself. I used to love the Star Wars and Castle themes, along with the Modular Buildings series (the ones with five-digit set numbers). Here’s one of my favorite lego minifigures.

Before getting into MPs I was collecting coins and banknotes from my country. That got expensive pretty quickly so I gave up.
Up until the late 40s banknotes had allegorical figures while coins had the kings head. Than the communists came and replaced both with images of sweaty workers…
