Since my initial post, I’ve added two more Spoke Design Roady pens to my collection. One is another XL in titanium (grip, body, and cap) and now a regular Roady 2.
I provided specifications above regarding size and weight for some of the Spoke Design pens. And while my initial choice was for the XL size, perceiving not much of a difference and then the XL enjoys more compatible refills… now having the Roady 2 in hand, I can say that the size is noticeable. It’s a nice reduction in size making it more portable.
And yes, you’ve guess it. The Roady 2 and XL caps are interchangeable! I’m so glad Spoke Deisgn was smart about this.
Regarding the colorway… I have a tendency to pick minimalist, conservative, business-serious looking pens. I’m not much into jovial, whimsical looking pens. But this colorway just grabbed me. Even with the hot-pink grip. It’s better in person, more deep and lustrous. I like it.
