Buyee shipping advice

I asked on the FedEx package and they said it changes every day and which country it ships from. I was about 40 pencils and pens and just over $1000

The UPS was much less

I find zenmarket to be much much easier to search on. I’ll probably start using them but up until now I only created an account and never completed a purchase

Well, now the game has changed entirely with these insane, draconian, and absolutely ridiculous tariffs that are a tax burden on consumers. So much for ā€œlowering prices.ā€

@Pdunc67, does Buyee still allow you to edit the manifest descriptions? This would be so key to avoid getting hit with additional charges. Maybe some item types are outside the tariff criteria.

I don’t think it’ll be so terrible, just don’t ship expensive packages
Zen market implies less than $500 usd was a safer threshold and they’ve always steered me in a good direction.
Some countries have always been more laborious to ship from, those countries may take a break from trying the customs system.
I’m also pretty sure no proxy allows you to completely change an item description entirely.
I would save yourself the trouble of asking buyee anything, they will only tell you that they can’t help you.

Yeah, makes more sense to break them up… so while there’s a little more cost in shipping more packages, you’re avoiding the far more costly extra fees / tariff tax.

I was just curious about Buyee’s facility to edit the manifest. But I’ll probably not use them as I’ve heard of several complaints… and yes, their customer service is just terrible.

Re: does Buyee still allow you to edit the manifest descriptions?
Sorry, just seeing this. Last I checked yes they did. But it’s been a minute

Has there been any updates from Buyee officially on the tariff situation?
I have not seen a single thing
