Funny, I think almost the exact opposite. I was never a fan of the original manga and always thought that the retellings in the Mamoru Oshii films and in SAC (and even in Arise) were superior, both visually and the characters they depict… But I’m still eager to see the new series.

I couldn’t get through the first five minutes…
Though, I’m curious…. How does “Lazarus” rate in everyone’s ‘opinion-book’ (adult swim) thus far??
(Personally, it seems too lack everything that made Cowboy Bebop great). I hope I’m wrong though.

i like anime though i am more into the niche rom-com ones. i have seen the first two seasons of OPM and watched Naruto. but i never got into one piece or demon slayer! MHA is good but it is not my fav tho

Akira is what started me when it was playing randomly on my grandparents TV. Finished 2nd half had no idea, what it was until years later when my dad got a Bootleg VCD copy from a guy at work. And then started into Toonami with Gundam Wing, Outlaw Star, etc.
Ive slowly been catching up on the shows i missed for the last 7-10 yrs.
