On the topic of news, did the new colors for Kurutoga Dive release in Japan yet? I believe it was yellow and black wasnt it?

I checked with Mitsubishi Pencil, and they said that nothing has been decided regarding new colors for the Kurutoga Dive.
It’s possible that the company has chosen not to disclose any information at this time.
There have been several instances in the past where unconfirmed or fake information has circulated, so this might be another case of that.

I tried out a sample and did some test writing.
Personally, I preferred the writing feel of the high-grade metal-bodied model — the barrel felt more rigid and solid in the hand.
The hardness indicator dial makes a nice, crisp clicking sound when you turn it.

The standard black DOES have the grip, just hard to see in the image.
I wish the Pro had the Teal highlights as well

It’s set to launch on July 25th.
I got to try out a sample before the release.
The prices are 7,920 yen for the PRO and 5,500 yen for the AIMVISION.
Do you think that’s a bit expensive?

Yes they are a bit expensive. No doubt they are well made but I think they are trying to push their luck. Hard core enthusiasts (like us) may support this but the mass market will not. It doesn’t really have any innovative features.

The plastic version weighs about 13.2 g, and the metal version is around 25.5 g — so it’s roughly half the weight.
In exchange, I felt there was a noticeable difference in barrel rigidity and balance between the two.

It really is too expensive
It doesn’t make much sense.
How is the 925-85 half of the price?
Especially considering the 85 is an updated version that works out the kinks and complaints.
Version 2 of this thing will be ¥9000 at least!

This pencil looks cool! I can definitely see myself getting the black one. The Flagship model. Or both both in Black. Could never have enough black pencils.

Very cool but still not sold on the designs. The costs are above Tombow zoom and uni KT dive so it better be worth it 
The lead hardness indicator seems very attractive. The turning sound is probably the most interesting part for me.
There seems to be a mix or inspiration from many brands. The ballpoints especially look like craft lab + zoom mix.
