I imagine these could have been targeting students and younger people back in the 80s — drafting/tech look but adequate for writing and pocket size. Like chunky pencils today.

My first attention to HB-200BK is because of its corresponding bp, which basiclly is a copy work of Lamy2000 in appearance

The BP looks really good, much better than the MP.
