I was just about to post this and ask who wants to go in on this with me? I want the box.
Now, we know the model number.
I’ll go in on it (I don’t have an open proxy right now). Would be amazing for us to procure these W-knocks; we may never see anything like this ever again.
I have a proxy open via ZenMarket.
I much prefer ZenMarket over Buyee, especially since you can now order from Mercari. I have always hated the way Buyee packs the pencils I get, 1 pencil in an A4 (about 8-1/2x11) size envelope and then into a box that will accomodate that. Most of my shipments from Japan have been US$40-60, but this last one was $125 because of the box size.
I have already placed my initial bid on it, although it was only for ¥100, since ZenMarket won’t let you bid more than 100x the current bid. I will be going much higher.
This one will likely exceed ¥100,000. Based on the current exchange rate, I think you can justify going up to ¥200,000—that’s still less than $125 per pencil, and it includes the (unobtainable) box.
Perhaps I should clarify my vision: I see every single one of these pencils selling for $200+ from here on out, so I have no personal qualms about buying a bunch of them for ~$150 or less.
I’ve now guaranteed a ¥200,000+ closing price
That individual one went for $78.
Congrats! I bidded ~6500. That was the price I think was appropriate for a quite ugly double push?
OK, I don’t have that good exchange rate and I have to add ~20% customs to the price, so my estimations are always lower.
Did you put a snipe at 200,000?
And outbid for ¥211000
I think I won it. Just need to get the confirmation from Zenmarket.
Well that was fun to watch. Guess Chris got outbid too which is good since he got one for $78.
Holy shit!!! I’ll buy one off ya if you’re sellin—ideally a pristine specimen
I’m watching this listing as it may be the one that sets the W knock price.
Still can’t believe my dude @pearsonified just got one for $78.
Has this package entered the United States?
