Last shipment was 89 pencils @ ¥15,915
I’ll probably get banged on customs charges, too.
For what it’s worth, I never paid any additional fees with DHL, but UPS and FedEx have nailed me about 50% of the time.
Not sure I’ve had a DHL shipment since April 2022, though.

Dang.
I’ve only used DHL since the pandemic. Prior to the pandemic I didn’t mind shipping by boat.

I feel your pain - shipping prices have gone up quite a bit over the last year or so!
FWIW I am yet to pay customs duty on any of the packages shipped by EMS. DHL has somehow always made me pay. FedEx has been hit and miss.

No, that’s just for the shipping. The pencils were like ¥170,000.

Wow… Do they charge more for insurance?
ZenMarket seems to have reasonable shipping fees. I go with the ZenShip option. Usually takes 2 to 3 weeks (most of the time it’s 2 weeks).

I wouldn’t take this as representative of the shipping costs with Buyee. I’ve paid anything from ¥6,000 to ¥16,000, depending on the size of the shipments.
I don’t care for ZenMarket’s deposit rules; now that Buyee reduced their fees to the same price (¥300), I don’t really have an incentive to check out ZenMarket.
(But something is definitely up this month—my last shipment was about 30% smaller but less than half the price.)

I recently found out that once you’re a baller of a buyer Zenmarket let’s you go off of credit.

In that case, I’d be king of ZenMarket if I’d used them since April 2021

US Customs have an $800 value limit for new items. Excede this value for your shipment and you are open to customs charges- I found out the hard way using FedEx once. But, if they are declared as used items, that value limit doubles.
