Would you say it was unusual for a Japanese pencil brand advertising in Germany? In the backyard of Staedtler, Faber-Castell, etc… ? :smiley:

I’m not sure whether the initiative came from Pentel or from the German distributor IMCO; the latter was certainly small and took advantage of every opportunity. To my knowledge, neither Staedtler nor Faber-Castell produced mechanical pencils in 1966 so that the company was happy to enter the German market with this pencil.
